I was hesitant to post any of these as I really don't feel they do the pieces justice, but I was too excited not to. It has been an incredibly busy month for Carolina George. Last week we moved into a fabulous new space where we will FINALLY have the full line of furniture available to view. It is open to the public Monday - Friday and in addition to our own furniture and accessories we will have a small selection of carefully edited art, antiques and jewelry. Although it is not street level our hope is that people will treat this space as they would any other shop and drop in when they like with not appointment necessary.
Back to the new pieces! When putting together the new collection we wanted to expand on pieces we already had in the line as well as add a few smaller pieces that were in keeping with our multi-functional foundation. In the above picture you can see our 5 O'clock slipper chair with the new ottoman, in addition we have added a double wide ottoman that has 4 pullout trays as opposed to the two that you can see in the single ottoman above.
Pictured below is our Game Table. We have been wanting to do a game table for quite sometime and just had not been able to fit it into a run. This table was inspired by a rattan bridge table I saw at a flea market about five years ago. The chairs that will go with it are not quite right so they are being tweaked, but it will eventually have 4 chairs that fit in flush to the table. We wanted to design a table that can be used as a games table, but that would be substantial enough to dine at. And of course there needed to be storage space! This is probably going to be finished in a pale gray and orange combination.

Below are our honeycomb tables that can be bought individually or as cluster. I can't wait to get these painted! We are doing them in alternating colors which I think is going to be really fun! I'm crazy about the maze like effect you get when you have a big cluster of them together. How great would these look in front of a really long 10' sofa! They are also great as just small single little tables for a drink.

These our the Kidney Tables another small item that we are introducing. One of the great things about these and the honeycomb tables above it you can add to the over time. You can start with two or three and then add an extra if you feel you want a bigger surface. We love tables that can be used as either side tables of coffee tables and both these tables fit the bill! We are also super thrilled about the price of these two pieces I can assure they won't break the bank! I cannot wait to share pictures of the finished pieces, they look a little sad in this state but they are going to be fantastic!! Check back in at the end of the month to see these finished as well a few other new pieces not shown here!!!
