It has been an incredibly busy month for Carolina George. Between trunk shows in LA and NYC, a move into a fabulous new office space and finalizing the new pieces we have been barely had time to breath. We are thrilled to announce that we will FINALLY have our full line of furniture and accessories available for people to see in person! In addition to our own pieces we hope to have a small selection of carefully edited antiques, art and jewelry in the space. We couldn't be more excited about this move and to finally share our furniture with everyone in person!
Last week I made a quick trip down to our factory in North Carolina to check in on our new pieces. I was hesitant to even post these a some are still prototypes and nothing has any color on it, but I'm too excited not to share. In this run we wanted to expand on some of our existing pieces and add a few new pieces. Above is our 5 O'Clock Ottoman shown in the single width we are also making a double width that will have 4 pullout trays. These are going to look fabulous upholstered in some of our new fabrics that we have been designing.

Above are the honeycomb tables. These might be my favorite. They are sold individually or as a cluster. I love the idea of a long group of them in front of a big 10' sofa in alternating colors! The maze like effect you get when grouped in a cluster is quite pretty and reminds me of columns in a cathedral. They are easy to move around and also will not break the bank which makes them even prettier!

This games table is a piece we have been wanting to introduce for quite awhile and we could just never fit it into the schedule. It was inspired by a rattan bridge table I saw at a flea market about 5 years ago. We are still tweaking the chairs, but eventually they will fit flush to the table. We wanted a table that could work as a classic games table, but that was also substantial enough to dine at and of course there needed to be some storage space! Look for it at the end of the month in its final incarnation! We are thinking pale grays and orange.

One of the great things about seeing the pieces realized after months of discussion and drawings is almost every single time we discover there is a way to expand on the pieces. We already have plans to do a bar cart version of this game table!
Below are our Kidney Tables. We wanted to introduce pieces that were easy to move around and can be used in a variety of ways. These can work on their own like the Honeycombs or be clustered together to make a coffee table. You can keep adding to them to create a snakelike effect in front of a long sofa. Check back soon for the finished product or come visit us in our new space 19 West 21st Street!! Look forward to seeing you!
