Creating An Urban Oasis
Mon, 2012-03-05 13:25 | by Caroline

As Spring approaches I have started to think about what I want to do with my terrace. Last year there was just too much going on with the move and renovation to really give it the love and attention it deserved so we decided to hold off for a year. Well a year has come and gone, and it looks as sad as it did the day we moved in. We know we want to put in an awning and some greenery to give us some much needed privacy, but other than that I am just starting to look for inspiration. The space is long and narrow (50" wide by 30' or so long), which really limits what we can do. I have had a tough time finding all-weather outdoor furniture that I like and that is not more than 20" deep. Below are some images that have been inspiring me lately. I tried to only show you images that relate in size and scale to my own space. I could not resist, however, in showing one of my all-time favorites at the end, Claude Wassersteins NYC Penthouse.

Images from shelterness.com, elledecor.com, vogue.com, and pinterest.
