As the big day approaches, I am finally focusing in on the last details of the nursery. The furniture has all arrived and I am just waiting on a few pillows and a chair. In anticipation, I have decided to outfit the crib with some special linens from my aunt's store, A Touch of Lace. You have to check out the website here. She sells the most beautiful linens and can do just about anything custom as well. Being new to the whole baby thing, I really needed her help on what should go in the crib.
Just to familiarize you with the room, I did a post in June that you can read here. It pretty much followed this layout except I ended up going for a solid rug because I thought the zig zags were a bit much with the stripped walls (pics soon I promise!).
My aunt Lauren sent me a bunch of fabric swatches and pics and in the end I fell in love with the red gingham and ric rac trim.

At the top of the image you will see our Fleur print in a custom color way. The gingham red on the right is going to be a bumper (for when she is old enough) as well as a piece of the crib skirt. The ric rac trim and smooth white pique fabric will also be used as the crib skirt and border of the bumper. Below is a picture of something similar to give you an idea.

Promised to post updates as soon as they are available.
