Last week I slipped out and and took a little field trip to LACMA to check out the Los Angeles: California Design Exhibit. People had been raving about it and it did not disappoint. It is the first major exhibit of California Mid Century Modern Design. With over 300 pieces of furniture and objects on display it is a really fun trip through design history.

I love that they even had clothing

I fell in love with this Gazelle chair by Dan Johnson. It reminded me of the chairs at the Amangani resort in Jackson Hole that I wrote about last fall.

They even gave homage to the playsuit! I've never met a playsuit I didn't like.

A fun outdoor vignette. I love the planter and actually own one that I use as an ice bucket

This might have been the coolest part of the show. It is an exact replica of the Eames House Living Room
