On Tuesday I shared my visit to the Chinatown loft by Sayigh Duman Architects http://www.carolinageorge.com/blog/post/ohny. Another noteworthy place visited was the Slade Residence. James Slade and Hayes Slade (founders of Slade Architecture http://sladearch.com/) converted two apartments into one that is now the home of their 6 person family. Below are some pictures which do not give justice to this impeccably designed space.

Curving wall creates storage where the second entrance once was.

Red bathroom

Creating separate areas for teenagers seems a sane solution. This lounge is between the two teen rooms.
After touring their home, I quickly ran to the internet to see what else they had done. I was not let down by their other projects.
