As a transplanted midwesterner living in NYC I often find myself longing for green open spaces and lush gardens. Some of my all time favorite images are of bucolic wonderlands that seem only possible in a dream. I thought I would share some of these with you starting with a painting by Felice Casorati called Dreaming of Pomegranates.

The image below is from one of my favorite places in the world, my parents' home in Charlevoix Michigan. My mother and father have taken such care and consideration in the selection of the flowers for their garden. The sculpture in the background also conjures up wonderful memories of my grandparents home outside of Detroit. This sculpture used to be in their garden.

And some of my all time favorite garden images from various sources....

I love the below image for many reasons but mainly because it reminds me of the chuppah from my wedding (I swear it is a coincidence!).

The chuppah from my wedding....

All images above except the first, second and last image are from the internet and ivillage
